#1 Cognitive Distortions & Thinking Error – All or Nothing Thinking

If you’ve been feeling down, have low self-esteem or are feeling anxious or depressed, the chances are that you are unconsciously thinking in a certain way that is feeding your low mood. In psychology, we call these thoughts ‘thinking errors or ‘cognitive distortions’.  Over the next few days, I will share some of these with you with a tip on how to deal with these thoughts,

All-or-Nothing Thinking,

sometimes we see things as being black or white: Perhaps you have two categories of people in your mind—the good ones and the bad ones. Or maybe you look at each project as either a success or a failure. If you do well, you’re a success, if not, you are terrible – there is no in-between.  

Life is invariably never black and white. Recognise the shades of grey, rather than putting things in terms of all good or all bad.
