Alan Pardew - A modern day manager
When Alan Pardew took over at Southampton, he immediately asked Roberto to help with the strategic planning for the season, and come in to help set the targets and deliver these to the first team squad.
Alan is a modern day manager who understands that continued and consistent success depends on ensuring the infrastructure and processes used at a club are first class. He understands the benefits of sport science and performance psychology and has used similar methods at other clubs which have seen FA Cup final appearances, and qualification for Europe against all odds.
