Roberto first worked at Charlton in 1997 with the Youth Academy (then School of Excellence), where he coached the U15s Players in the team including Michael Turner and Glenn Morris.
Some years he was asked to come in during Alan Pardew’s last few weeks at the club, and then in season 2011/12 Chris Powell invited Roberto in to help get the psychology right in their quest for promotion to the Championship.
